James F. Beré, Jr. is Chairman & CEO of Alta Resources, a global
customer relationship business process outsourcer. Headquartered in
Wisconsin, with locations in California, Florida, Belize, and the
Philippines, Alta Resources is a privately held corporation focused on
delivering results through integrated service offerings: care, sales,
e-commerce, back office and fulfillment. Alta Resources serves Fortune
100 companies in four different industries including Consumer Packaged
Goods, Health Insurance, Entertainment and Automotive.
In 1982, Jim founded Ameritel Corporation, which he sold in 1990 and
co-founded Alta Resources in 1995. Both these organizations were awarded
the Inc. 500 award for fastest growing companies in the U.S. Jim has
30+ years of management experience in consumer products and contact
center industries. In 2004, Jim received the Ernst and Young
Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Business and Technology in Wisconsin.
He earned a B.S. in Political Science from Indiana University and an
MBA from the University of Illinois.
Jim currently serves on the Board for The Fox Cities Performing Arts
Center, and is a member of the Leadership Giving Committee for United
Way Fox Cities. His prior community work includes ThedaCare Board of
Directors, Theda Clark Foundation Board and Fox Cities United Way
Campaign Chairman.
For many years Jim was involved with World Vision, having served on
World Vision USA and World Vision International Board of Directors.
World Vision is a global non-profit, Christian humanitarian organization
dedicated to providing community-based relief and development programs
around the world.
Jim is currently a Board Member of VisionFund International and Great
African Food Company (GAFCo). VisionFund is a microfinance organization
dedicated to providing small loans and financial services to families
in the developing world. GAFCo is a social impact company in Tanzania
that works to connect smallholder farmers to financial and other
services to help them expand their farming businesses.
He also serves on the Board of Legacy Private Trust.
